3M Fasara™ films are made of thin, durable polyester with a decorative matte surface and are recommended for application to interior glass and the inside of exterior glass windows.

Fasara™ films are not recommended for use on glass substitutes, for example acrylics or polycarbonates.

The total nominal thickness is less than 0.01 millimetres (3.0 and 3.5 mils), depending on film type. These films are manufactured with a silicone liner, which protects the clear pressure-sensitive adhesive, and except for the absence of an application layer, are applied using the same tools and techniques used with other Scotchtint™ solar and security films.
